We’re kicking off a new Monday feature here on the Healthy Trucker — weekly diet and fitness challenges to help keep our drivers healthy on the road!
We’re going to begin with an easy one — a 30 minute truck driver workout.
The CDC recommends that adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week. That comes out to about 30 minutes of exercise five times a week — which is totally doable in itself — but better yet, that 30 minutes can be broken down into smaller increments throughout the day if 30 minutes at once is not quite attainable given your schedule.
If you opt for more vigorous activity like jogging or biking, the CDC recommends 75 minutes a week — about 15 minutes a day. Sounds pretty doable, right?
Here’s what we want you to do:
This week, get out and get at least 30 minutes of exercise. Whether that’s walking around the truck stop, doing weight training in your truck, or going for a jog, just get up and move!
