I decided not to even weigh in this week. I wasn’t sure how I would feel if it hadn’t moved again, so I just decided to skip it this week.
It’s not all about the number on the scale anyway.There are so many other victories besides that number. We call them NSV’s – non-scale victories. I had a huge non-scale victory this week. I jogged for 2.25 miles without stopping. It’s a turtle jog for sure, but still, I didn’t stop!
I’ve decided I love running and I want to get really good at it. Here is a pic of me with my hubby, Aaron, and son, Brandon.
We did our first and only 5k about a year and a half ago. I quickly slacked off and found I couldn’t run any more. I’ve been working on it a lot lately though, and am getting it back. I need to sign up for another 5k for more motivation.
Another non-scale victory — I took measurements and compared them with earlier ones and was real pleased! Another NSV — my rings are looser on me. But probably the best non-scale victory so far? My hubby is noticing changes and giving me lots of compliments, and that is a great feeling. 🙂
Anyway, my point here is to not get too wrapped up in what the scale says because it’s not the only indicator of being healthy.
