Losing Weight Over Holidays – Tammy’s Week 7 Check-In

Hi! I’m sorry it’s been a little while since my last update. Like most of us, I’ve been super busy lately.

Great news to report today. First of all, I broke through my plateau! I’ve actually been losing weight over holidays! I lost 2 lbs the weekend before Thanksgiving, did NOT gain over Thanksgiving, and have lost 2 more lbs since. Total lost now is 34 lbs!! I think I learn a little more each week about nutrition and fitness, and I owe that to great websites like TheHealthyTrucker.net and all of the individual fitness pages on Facebook.

Daily encouragement, tips, recipes, success stories, etc, make all the difference in the world to my success. I have learned that its not only important to count calories, but to make those calories count by fueling my body with nutritious foods. My husband and I have recently started doing our own 5k’s, and 2 days ago I started Insanity. I also have been learning more about how important strength training with weights is for women and have really stepped up that part of my workout.

I also have a wonderful, caring Beachbody coach, Lisa, who is helping me tremendously. (Thank you, Lisa!) All of this combined has helped me get back on track to losing weight again. 🙂 I’m feeling great and I know that it’s just going to get better as I continue this journey.

Thanks for checking in on my progress! I’m so happy to be down some weight after a frustrating past few weeks. It just goes to show that you gotta keep on chugging! Keep at it, and eventually, you WILL lose weight. Don’t get discouraged!
