Lunges and squats are two of the best leg exercises for truck drivers. Not only will they loosen up those legs after a long day of driving;  they’ll work those glutes too! Alternate lunging forward and backwards while holding a set of dumbbells to work your quads. For the glutes, perform weighted squats.

How to Do Dumbbell Lunges and Squats

  1. Lunges:  Holding a dumbbell in each hand with your arms hanging down straight at your sides, lunge backward bending your knee down towards the ground. Return to starting position and lunge back with the other leg. Repeat this for desired amount of reps.
  2. Squats:  Begin again with arms down at your sides holding a set of dumbbells.Squat down towards the ground keeping your back straight and supporting your weight on the balls of your feet. Return to starting position and repeat for desired number of reps.
