Examples of Healthy Food Choices For Truck Drivers – Tammy’s Week 2 Check-In

I lost two more pounds, for a total of 30 pounds lost so far! Yeah! It hasn’t been that hard…most days. There are days like today though when the day is particularly hard and by the time dinner comes around, I tend to get that, “I don’t care” attitude. But if I can make a good choice, I can usually get past it – there are healthy food choices for truck drivers out there!  I want to show you some of the good food choices that I’ve made recently.

TA Truck Stop DinnerThis was dinner at a TA truck stop. Salad with lots of veggies, fresh fruit (including strawberries!), and homemade vegetable beef stew. Delicious!

French toast, bacon, and egg breakfast plateThis is breakfast, or in my case, breakfast for dinner at IHOP. This is from their Stay Fit menu. French toast made with whole wheat bread, scrambled egg beaters, and turkey bacon. It was real good!

Hiking trailWhen we’re at home, my husband and I love to ride bikes. We’ve done as much as 25 miles at one time. We live real close to the Withlacoochee Bike/Walk trail. It has a lot of shade and great scenery. We’re saving up to hopefully buy recumbent bikes soon.

Hiking at Deil's TowerMy husband and my son are my favorite hiking buddies. I promised them and myself that I would get in good enough shape to be able to keep up with them. It’s going to be hard to do though, as they like to climb on everything! Here is a picture of the three of us hiking at the foot of Devil’s Tower in Wyoming.

Total Weight Lost: 30 pounds!  30% to goal!
