Monday Munchies — Cooking in the Truck: Healthy Apple Pie

Today’s Monday Munchies recipe is perfect for those of you with a sweet tooth. It’s our little twist on an All-American favorite — apple pie. This faux apple pie recipe has the same taste but has fewer calories than a slice of the real stuff. Bonus: you can make it in just 2 minutes with a microwave!

  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 crushed graham cracker
  • Lemon juice
  • Cinnamon
  • Honey

Directions:Healthy microwave apple pie

Dice your apple into small pieces. Put in a bowl, and crush one graham cracker on top. Drizzle with a smidge of lemon juice, a dash of cinnamon, and a little honey. Mix everything together in the bowl, and microwave for about two minutes. Let cool, and enjoy!

This faux-apple pie rings in at 200 calories, 1.5 grams of protein, and 2 grams of fat. Not bad for dessert!
