How to Make Gluten Free Lettuce Wraps
- 4-8 large romaine lettuce leaves
- Meats, cheese, veggies, and spreads of your choice
Start with two to four (depending on the size you want) large romaine lettuce leaves on the bottom. Layer meats, cheeses, veggies, and spreads of choice on top of the lettuce leaves. Top your sandwich with a matching number of lettuce leaves and roll up in parchment paper.
These gluten free lettuce wraps keep great in the cooler for full days of driving. On a road trip, my son had four lettuce wraps in his cooler and that is all he needed for a full day. Just peel off the parchment as you eat and your hands stay clean.
One tip: don’t make them too big, or they’ll fall apart! It’s better to have more wraps with less filling (and you get more veggies in, too!)
